Georgia Board of Massage Therapy

  • Rule/Statute Approved Provider – Approved by the NCBTMB

 

Georgia Board of Nursing

  • Provider recognized by another state’s board of nursing within the United States

 

Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy

  • Approved by another state’s health profession board or organization

 

Kansas Board of Healing Arts – Occupational Therapy

  • Any educational provider with courses related to the field of occupational therapy or similar areas

 

Kansas State Board of Nursing

  • CE Provider approved by Another State Board of Nursing

 

Kentucky Board of Nursing

  • Rule Approved – Educational Provider with courses approved by another state board of nursing

 

Michigan Board of Dentistry

  • Rule/Statute Approved Provider – Educational provider approved by another state Board of Dentistry

 

Michigan Board of Nursing

  • Rule/Statute Approved Provider – Educational provider approved by another state Board of Nursing

 

Michigan Board of Occupational Therapy

  • Rule/Statute Approved Provider – Educational provider approved by another state Board of Occupational Therapy

 

Michigan Board of Physical Therapy

  • Rule/Statute Approved Provider – Educational provider approved by another state Board of Physical Therapy

 

Michigan Board of Massage Therapy

Minnesota Board of Nursing

  • The Minnesota Board of Nursing does not approve specific continuing education providers or courses.

 

Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy

  •  There is no authority or process for pre-approval of continuing education courses or course work.

 

Mississippi Board of Nursing

  • Rule Approved – Educational Provider with courses approved by another state board of nursing

 

Nebraska Board of Dentistry

  • Educational Provider approved by another state board of dentistry
  • Each licensee must determine if the program is an acceptable topic for dentistry

 

Nebraska Board of Massage Therapy

  • The board does not approve continuing education programs. Each licensee must determine if the program is an acceptable topic area for massage therapy.

 

Nebraska Board of Medical Nutrition Therapist

  • The board no longer reviews continuing education programs.

 

Nebraska Board of Nursing

  • Rule/Statute Approved Provider – Educational Provider with courses approved by another state board of nursing

 

Nebraska Board of Occupational Therapy

  • Educational Provider approved by another state board of Occupational Therapy
  • The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services defines continuing education as planned, organized learning activities designed to maintain, improve, or expand a licensee’s knowledge and skills in order for the licensee to develop new knowledge and skills relevant to the enhancement of practice, education, or theory development to improve the safety and welfare of the public.
  • Workshops, Seminars, Webinars and Conferences – The content of the continuing education activity must relate to occupational therapy whether the subject is research, treatment, documentation, or education management, and includes monitored videotapes, and in-service programs. Documentation must include a certificate of attendance and a program outline or objectives.

 

New Mexico Board of Nursing

  • NM Nursing: Rule Approved – Educational providers approved by other state boards of nursing

 

Nevada Board of Massage Therapy

  • Approved Provider – Approved by the NCBTMB

 

Nevada Board of Nursing

  • Approved by another state nursing board or health-related board

 

Nevada Board of Occupational Therapy

  • You do not need pre-approval, OTs and OTAs may take any continuing education courses appropriate to their practice

 

Ohio Board of Dentistry

  • OH Nursing: Rule Approved – Educational providers approved by other state boards of nursing

 

Ohio Board of Nursing

  • OH Nursing: Rule Approved – Educational providers approved by other state boards of nursing.
  • Rule 4723-14-05(A)(7): “A continuing education activity that has been approved by a board or an agency that regulates a health care profession or related discipline in Ohio or another jurisdiction;”

 

Ohio Board of Occupational Therapy

  • Rule/Statute – Approved by another state’s health profession board or organization

 

Oregon Board of Nursing

  • Educational Provider Approved by another State Board of Nursing

 

Rhode Island Board of Nursing

  • “Courses recognized by a professional nursing organization, and/or any department or school of nursing approved by a board of nursing.” 

 

South Carolina Board of Nursing

  • Educational Provider Approved by another State Board of Nursing

 

Tennessee Board of Massage

  • Rule Approved – Educational Provider with courses approved by NCBTMB

 

Tennessee Board of Occupational Therapy

  • TN OT: Rule Approved – Educational Provider with courses approved by Other State Occupational Therapy Associations

 

Virginia Board of Nursing

  • Educational Provider with courses approved by another state board of nursing

 

Virginia Board of Massage

  • Approved Provider – Approved by the NCBTMB

 

Virginia Board of Occupational Therapy
