The ISFTA Senior Fitness Specialist course is designed to teach Nurses, Massage Therapists, Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Nursing Home Administrators, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and others in the wellness industry how to better understand the needs of the senior fitness market.

Working with seniors is becoming increasingly vital to the professional whose goal is to meet the needs of this rapidly expanding population.  As more people are living longer and seeking to live healthier lives, the demands on allied health professionals in relation to senior fitness continue to grow.  Getting the body moving is vital to better health and wellness.

Understanding specific fitness considerations for seniors is imperative to optimizing your clients’ overall health and well-being.  This course was designed to help you to develop a better understanding of the aging process and common medical conditions that senior’s are faced with today.

Upon completion of the ISFTA Senior Fitness Specialist course you will have the confidence to address many of the concerns that could impact a senior’s independence and activities, such as reducing their risk of falls, improving strength, balance, coordination and memory.  You will also be prepared to incorporate program modifications for seniors based on their personal goals and limitations.

As a bonus, after completion of the course, attendees will have the option to sit for the ISFTA Certified Senior Fitness Specialist Exam for only $99.00. Those who decide to utilize this option and pass the exam will receive a certificate identifying them as an ISFTA Certified Senior Fitness Specialist.
